Back and forth in hockey business
I don’t really want to stop the show
But I thought you might like to know
That the singer’s gonna sing a song
And he wants you all to sing along

After establishing a new EWHL (European Women’s Hockey League) team in Graz (EC Graz Huskies), a rather tedious job, taking up almost all of my time for more than a year, it was time to start something new. On the one hand due to massive exhaustion, on the other hand due to increasing disputes over the future strategy for the team (there’s a lot to say about this, maybe in a future post), I resigned from my GM/SM job with the Huskies and decided to start a consulting business exclusively for women’s hockey - ta.hockey.

Managing the Women’s Game
“Itβs time to take the next step. The womenβs game in Europe should reach the global level. And Iβm committed to support players, coaches, teams and federations to reach this goal”
The above is my personal committment on ta.hockey. It’s also the mission statement for my hockey consulting business. The idea behind is to support players, teams and federations in various situations, using my 10+ years of experience in women’s ice hockey as well as a skill set, developed within two decades of (project) management work.
Empowerment
Derived from my coaching philosophy empowerment of players as well as teams is going to be the main goal in my consulting work. Women’s hockey must become independent and this will only become true if we manage to release the game from as many current dependencies as possible. We need to build a self-sustained ecosystem just for the women’s game, especially in terms of economy, the PWHL e.g. definitely points in right directions. This requires a high degree of engagement, professionalism and also patience. I’m ready to jump in and help Women’s hockey to get there.
